2007 Inductees

Senator Larry Craig – Born in Council Idaho. He attended Idaho schools, graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in political Science. Served in the House of Representatives and the U. S. Senate. Thirty years of exemplary political service to the State of Idaho and the Country speaks for itself.
Vice Admiral John Grossenbacher – A distinguished 33 year Naval career preceded John Grossenbacher’s appointment as President & Laboratory Director of the Idaho National Laboratory. He is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy and has received numerous awards throughout his career serving not only Idaho but the Country.
Arthur A. Hart – Author of numerous books and articles about Idaho and regional history. He has served with numerous organizations promoting historic preservation for more than 30 years…. A World War II veteran, Mr. Hart is Director Emeritus of the Idaho State Historical Society and his column on local history has appeared in the Idaho Statesman for over 25 years.

Dr. Robert Kustra – President of Boise State University, the largest institution of higher learning in Idaho and the state’s only metropolitan university with more than 18,000 students and 2,000 faculty and staff. Dr. Kustra took the helm as Boise State’s sixth president on July 1, 2003.

Larry May – From Stibnite, Idaho where he grew up, to Boise where he went to school, Mr. May brought his love of Idaho to the business world. As owner of the Owyhee Plaza Hotel he established a “legacy in the restaurant and hospitality industry” that continues to this day through his family.

Judge Roy Mosman – Born in Boise Idaho. Most of his life was spent in Idaho and his distinguished legal career began in Idaho. A prosecuting attorney, a district Judge and in private practice with his sons, Judge Mosman dedicated his life to his family and the State of Idaho.
Fred Norman – Retired University Professor Emeritus in the Performing Arts, has touched Idaho as a Director, Writer and Producer of many wonderful productions held at the Morrison Center in Boise, Idaho. Velma Morrison credits Mr. Norman with being a key player in fund raising to build the awesome Morrison facility.
C.L. “Butch” Otter – Elected Governor of Idaho on November 7, 2006. He has served as Idaho’s Lieutenant Governor and as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho, attended Idaho schools and graduated from Albertson College. Not only has he served Idaho in his political career but in business as well.
Chris Petersen – Came to Boise State in 1995 where he joined the coaching staff. He brought with him the experience and dedication to perfection that enabled him to coach the Boise State University Broncos through an undefeated year and the Fiesta Bowl Championship of 2006.

James E. Risch – An Idaho Senator, Governor, businessman, rancher and teacher, Lt Governor Risch has served Idaho in many capacities. His dedication to his family and to Idaho has spanned many years.
Dee Sarton – Known to Idaho through her many years of news broadcasting with Idaho’s NewsChannel Seven. She produces a weekly segment called Wednesday’s Child featuring children from the Northwest who are in need of adoptive homes. Since 1998 hundreds of children have found homes through Wednesday’s Child. Ms. Sarton serves on numerous non-profit boards focusing on children and education.
Mr. Frank VanderSloot – Born and raised in Idaho, Mr. VanderSloot has proven that hard work and dedication to an ideal can make dreams a reality. CEO and President of the world wide known company Melaleuca, Inc. has been a challenge turned success.
